Hi guys, bought my first Chrysler product ever: 1999 xj 4.0 5 speed with 113k miles. It was kind of a crap shoot since the car has a couple of issues and I spent 5k on it. Garage kept it's whole life, so no rust on uni body or rockers, immaculate interior. I had my buddy who also owns a cherokee come along and he was saying the interior was perfect too, I also have some kind of driver command center on the ceiling, it shows temp, avg economy, compass etc. Only thing is passenger window doesn't work, leaks oil possibly from valve cover gasket which previous owner just replaced or rear main seal. Baically I just wanted to post this to see what you guys think about my purchase. Did I spend too much? Where I come from these cherokees are hard to come by and when you do find them, they are high milage 180k and up. It took me 3 months to find this one. And thanks in advance!

 

To me, 5k is a bit high, but it sound like it's worth it especially that it's a 97+ 5 speed in immaculate condition at that mileage. I would kill for one.

 

It's also Chili Pepper Red. Good score.

 

Yeah it was a nice suprise. The pics on craigslist looked like the bright red color(which I don't mind either) but the chili pepper red is just sexy
