Greetings from Houston
Hey guys! I've recently bought myself a 1997 Cherokee Country 4X4. I'm loving it so far! I had been searching for an xj for quite some time and I came across this one for $2,000. The Jeep has 175,000 miles on it with brand new tires and a brand new tranny. The previous owner spent over $3k on it just to sell it to me for $2k! Couldn't pass this one up!
I've given it it's first bath, replaced some blown fuses, new sway bar bushings and linkages (sway bar was disconnected on one side when I got it), spliced a frayed O2 sensor wire, First oil change and converted to full synthetic oil.
Things left to do are replace U-joints, tune up, radiator flush, valve cover gasket, adjust the e-brake...... and TONS more when funds are available!
So far this thing has proven to be an AWESOME daily driver. It runs like it is brand new. Can't believe I stole this thing for only $2k!
I've got several photos in my profile if you're interested!
