Hey everybody, I just wanted to introduce myself and say a little about my future devious plans for my "old grey mare".. And in case my wife is reading this, I'm talking about my Jeep... not you Honey.....
And WITH THAT SAID.... it's an 89 pioneer thats completely stock, rusty, been stolen once already when I only had it for two months and given more bumps, dings and scratches. Now I've had her a year and never fixed the steering column because I'm lazy and like using the vise-grips to start her ( I'm getting around to getting a JY column soon). Well the first thing I know about this model of Jeep is... nothing. I have no knowledge of this vehicle at all. So I'm REALLY GLAD to have found this forum!!!! All these pics of people having fun outdoors in the mud and water let me know I'm in the right place. Plus where I live it's all chrome and candy paint jobs and I laugh when winter hits and they're on the side of the road, and I'm justa driving all easy like.
So I am looking around and see that I want this baby to have a really tall stance, humongous tires, decent radio system (just need to drown out what the next car over is blaring), lights and the barebones interior... I've already got some projects in the works right now, but unfortunately lost my job recently so now I'm seeing that she may end up being a almost strictly JY build. I am not interested in making her be a show car by any means, in fact, the rougher lookin to me...the better. My hat is tipped to all those on here that get the job done no matter how rough-looking the jeep is. I think these trucks are beautiful covered in mud. I spend a LOT of time in the outdoors, so I need the DD to be able to get through some rather wild places, not just the mall parking lot. Also, have been thinking about plans with HHO for a while and want to do some mad scientist-like tests in the future build. That is, if my wife will let me. To her, it's still her little DeeDee which she named it when we first bought her... I named her Deth&Destrukshun but.... ya kno how it goes....ended up having to call her "DeeDee" too.....
for now I'll keep things as cheap as possible and post new pics as I grow here....
Thanks for being here guys&gals,
