Hey there, I just bought a 2001 Cherokee as a retirement gift to myself after serving 24yrs in the Air Force and in preparation of returning back to Alaska. I originally started with a Liberty back in '04 since it was the closest to a Cherokee in looks and a good size for me - I always wanted an XJ. Since it was just me, an XJ was too big back when I was single and living overseas. I got the Liberty but outgrew it when I met my hubby in Alaska and we expanded the pack with 3 boxer & pit bull mixes. The hubby has his toy - a lifted Tundra for the kids but I wanted my own. Moved to NM in 2010 with no need for two 4X4 vehicles so I traded in the Jeep for a sports car but missed the Jeep. Then I saw the "Dog Box" on eBay and am now the proud owner of my own lifted toy and the dogs love it. We plan to take it out for its real purpose, playing in the dirt and trails.
