Got me a Jeep! Illinois
I wasn't really in the market for a new vehicle but when this XJ came into my store it was just too clean to pass up. I am the parts manager at the local VW dealer. I have three VW's and I am a huge VW guy. I have always liked the Cherokees but never really thought about owning one. My father-in-law has had a few XJ's over the years and he loves them. I have been a car guy all my life. I enjoy picking up not so nice cars and trucks for cheap and making them nice.
This Jeep Cherokee is a 2000 and was traded in last week. It only has 87k on it and the owner took great care of it. It needs a few things here and there but over all it is one of the cleanest I have ever seen.
I do have some plans for her. Upgrade the stereo since it has a crappy JVC and stock speakers. The fronts don't currently work since the wires in the in the doors are broken. A mild lift with some decent wheels and tires. Some lighting and a nice roof basket. I know I wont do too much off roading with it I just enjoy the look and feel of lifted Jeeps.

I am so glad I got this Jeep, I needed a new toy to play with. I probably won't lift it until spring but I am enjoying fixing some of the issues and doing some small upgrades here and there. I think the research is half the fun when you get a new vehicle. See what options you have and keep exploring until you can't stand it anymore

Thanks guys. Its kind of funny, I love my new old Jeep and I have been driving it for a month now but when I hop back into my Volkswagens I can't believe how solid they feel compare to my Jeep. Don't get me wrong Jeeps are cool as hell but they are sloppy. Can't wait to start my mods!
