The Good Son In Law
The good son in law gave me an early Chistmas present.
The other one just gives me heartburn. It s a 97 xj ,two door 4.0 auto .
He bought it new in feb 1997 and racked up 163k miles before my daughter announced she wasn't diving that "POS "anymore . On one of her way too frequent trips to the mall she missed placed her jeep . Someone suggested she use her key fob locater button. Of course it didnt have one or power windows or cruise control ... I got the call , the jeep was mine if I wanted it , ,,um let me think about it .. Hell yeah!! Secretly Ive been lusting after that "POS it"
For a few years . A One owner , well maintained XJ that four wheel drive only used to get up the driveway in the winter , for free ? What a great life.
So I found my way here, the CF. Lookin forward to DIY maint and responsible upgrades, Rust repair is on top of the to do list. Rockers an rear subframe at the kick ups are weak Floors, doors, front subframe all good . Sure I'll find lots ideas here..
