Default The Good, the Bad, the Ugly

Hey Guys. The Good, it was FREE! The bad, it needs a little cosmetic work. The Ugly, it has no front end! Other than the cosmetic stuff, everything works and it drives really good. The brakes need to be bled though. I have been lurking around here for several months. Back in March I asked my parents what they were going to do with their Cherokee since they got a new Liberty to pull behind their RV. Low and behold they GAVE it to me. All I had to do is drive over and get it. Simple enough, right? U-haul will not rent anything to be pulled behind an Explorer so I could not get a dolly from them. None of the other places would rent one to me unless I rented one of their trucks. At nearly 700 miles round trip, this was not an option. So I broke down and bought a pull bar and decided to pull it home. Amazingly enough, the little Trac did a fantastic job. Attached is a picture and there are a couple more in my gallery.

Thanks guys. It has had kind of a hard life. My sister in-law wrecked it once in a parking lot, just a fender bender and my Uncle some how managed to crack the windshield. My Brother borrowed it once until it got two flat tires and would not take take them to have them fixed so me and my Dad went and got it back. My Dad hit a deer in it that messed up the front right a little bit. What finished it off was when my Dad backed into it with their 5th wheel travel trailer. That is what happened to the grill and bumper. He did replace the radiator after he hit the deer. It has spent the past 3-4 years as a "woods" vehicle. My Mom & Dad have 26 acres that are wooded so they used it to drive around on paths he made with a tractor.

Awesome for a free Jeep, one of my favorite colors too (colorado red with silver/chrome accents) one of the only colors that chrome looks good on a jeep with.

I went to the local pull a part today and scored two fenders (red from an 88), a chrome grille, red shell and some misc fender brackets all for $120.00. Should have all of that on in the morning. Now all I need is a bumper.
