Hi all... I recently obtained a 1976 Cherokee S, and I look forward to gaining an education from all of you (and contribute where I can). I look forward to participating in this sight and meeting some good people who share an interest in full-size jeeps. I'm a custom knifemaker from the So Cal high desert. Take care.

This is what is left of a horrible homemade bumper that a previous owner made, and welded to the whole front of the frame This is after removing about 75lbs of ugly.

I did some bodywork and added some custom paint

Absolutely!

I have a lot of work to do on the Jeep before it will be wheeling ready, but I'm going to get cracking on it.

@JeepDeep, You probably saw this thing on 395, south of the aqueduct at that house with all the old cars for sale.

Just dropped the gas tank today to go get it cleaned out and sealed... In my fuel filters, I was getting this thick paint-like substance that turned into talcum powder when it dried. Probably has something to do with ethanol gasoline. Just ordered my Lube Locker diff gaskets, and I am slowly marking items off the check list. I've been wheeling here and there near my house, but it wasn't going very far until the filters clogged. Also discovered what the Low Range handle under the driver's seat does.
