First Jeep!
Hey guys!
Just picked up my first Cherokee! (First Jeep period actually)
2001
XJ Sport
4.0L 4x4
Patriot Blue Pearl
300k miles
It has a junk ton of miles, but I got it at a great price. Only $2500!
There are no leaks, and it would appear that the rings are still good as there is no white smoke coming from the tailpipe. Worse comes to worse I can just rebuild a spare motor and drop it in when this one gives out. Though I know from experience with other straight 6 motors, that the can last just about forever if you take care of them. Suspension is also in great shape.
The interior is wicked nice (apart from the head liner). Everything works on it, and it even has a Viper remote start / security system.
I'm normally a BMW tech head. Rebuilding and swapping motors, but....
I already love my Cherokee. It's funny... I just got out of my hand built (hand built by myself) $12k BMW and jumped straight into this $2.5k Cherokee and I'm just as happy with it! 4x4's just bring so many awesome things to the table.
And like I've always heard... "The best car to own is one that you actually Own." No more car payments!
Looking forward to becoming a part of the community!
