I joined this forum a couple of years ago but didn't have a Cherokee, now after years of wanting one and some help from the lottery I finally got one.
It's a 2000 Sport, 1 owner with with 115,000 miles, cloth interior, everything is standard, power windows, locks. I gave $4500.00 for it, I hope I did alright.
A Rough Country II 3 inch lift goes in next week and I need some tire advice. I have found out that a tire store wants to sell tires and will tell what you want to hear, so I end up walking away not knowing any more than I did when I walked in.
I'd like some honest advice.
I want to use 245x75x16 tires, for looks and to add a little more clearance. I drive 60+ miles a day (round trip) to work so it will spend a lot of time on the highway and here in the midwest about a third of that is white knuckle crappy weather. I also want to take it off road once in a while but nothing hard core. I just put 245x75x16 tires on the wife's Liberty, they are 30.5x9.6 wide and they look right on my Cherokee
What tires do I need?
Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated
Thanks, Erik

I'm not sure what you are asking. If you are lifting it 3 inches. I would say 29 inch tires would look to small. 31 inch would be a good choice. Are you doing a TC drop or a SYE to solve DS vibes? Also a good chance your going to get death wobble. Have you looked into cures for it?
