Das Jeep?????
Hey all! Jeep newb here just picked up a 2000 Cherokee Sport yesterday with 155K miles for $3K. I'm a long time VW guy but needed to stop using my GTI as the dog hauling grocery getting Home Depot visiting machine....so I grabbed this:
Grabbed it from an auction house here locally and everything seemed to be ok. A couple dings here and there but nothing I can't handle.
Looking forward to enjoying the community

Welcome to CherokeeForum.com!
Awesome purchase, basic maintnence and it'll serve you well. Any small plans for modding it? Don't lie, if you're a dub guy you can't leave something stock for very long.
Pics of the GTI. I always said if I wasn't into Jeeps, I'd be a vdubber.

I guess I could start an album, huh? I'm on my second GTI and second Passat. First GTI 1.8t got eaten alive when an Expedition decided to come through my hatch and land in my back seat.....damn VW saved my life. My baby that I'm kicking my dog out of so I can finally do my interior is a 2003 VR6. Had an 02 1.8t Passat but hit 100K and the work it needed exceeded the amount I could just put down on a new one, so I dropped it for a 2007 Passat 2.0t. I love my turbo's, but the VR6 engine is just insane. No engine mods, and I don't race, but I can do off the line and 3d gear pulls on 350z's and mustangs all day.
Anyway, I've always like the look of the Cherokee Sports. My in-laws of a 94 Grand Cherokee and it's just a rolling pile of repair costs though.
I do have a little bit of work to do to it though. Headliner is coming down a little in front, driver side window switch acting a little wonkie, ignition switch sticks and a few others......but damn, the price difference between VW parts and Jeep parts is amazing! This is going to be a dangerous toy! But no major mods planned, just cleanup mostly.....but gotta have tunes, so that's gonna go soon.
