Default Buying another XJ

I'm thinking about buying a 1989 XJ for only $300. Its a 4.0 and has no spark. I'm a little worried about what all the different possibilities it could be. He said he was driving it when it died. Suprisingly it didn't have any leaks. It looks like he took pretty good care of it but said he was sick of putting money in it. Think I should buy it?

You can't really lose at that price.

Yeah, 300 bucks, you could buy it, and part it out for more then that.

That's what I was thinking. Its in so good of shape (just a little rust) I was just going use it as my DD and build my 96 if the boss can tolerate it

So here is what I got for $300. Front to rear. High pinion D30, 4.0L, very leaky PS pump, needs right front brake hose, not sure what tranny has power switch for tranny though guessing AW4, NP 242 transfer case, D35, adjustable air shocks, fuel gauge doesn't work, electric mirrors, leather interior, rusted through floor boards on both sides in front, oh and needs intake gasket.
