Bought an XJ instead of a Mini Van
My wife wanted a Van to hall the kids around in but I came home with a White 96' Cherokee Sport 4dr Auto with a 2" lift and balled tires. She likes the XJ body style and warmed up to the rig until we hit the highway and got the "death wobbles" at 55 mph.
I've owned a TJ and a CJ-5 previously and I just couldn't resist buying another Jeep.
I live in Washington and camp alot with my 2 kids. It should be fun doing some trail riding with them bouncing around in the back.....can't do that in a mini-van!
Looking forward to solving the DW issue and making the Jeep my own.

My tires are crap right now...so I figure I'll start with some new rubber. I replaced the rotors up front and that helped a little. Everything looks pretty tight up front so we'll see. Those wobbles can scare the life out of you!

yepp i kno that feeling it never happened to me before bought used tires hit a bump driving 40-45 and bam it happened i was like WTF!!! bought new tires problem solved

Thanks everyone for the welcome! I've always been a Jeep freak....but I haven't had one in about 7 yrs. It's been a long wait!
When we had our second kid I had to trade my 98' TJ sport in for a van that my wife totalled a couple years later and I just couldn't resist buying this XJ. I'll post some pics tonight or tomorrow...it's nothing special....but it's mine.

Yeah Mega Welcome. I had an 87 MJ new, Wife flipped it in Southern Cal. Took me 15 years of subdued Jeep envy. Finally got an Xj last year. Now , can't wait to get going on some mods.
