To all users of CF:

PLEASE, before posting technical questions, take some time to help others out, by adding details in the user control panel. There's 2 ways to do this. First, in the upper left corner on the front page of the site, is a menu button labeled UserCP.




After you click on that you'll see this menu:





Please take the time to click on the highlighted sections and fill out the vehicle information for your vehicle. The signature link is also helpful for any additional information like mods done, links to your build or other vehicles owned.

This helps EVERYONE out by informing them immediately about your year, make, model, etc.

These details are necessary for responders to accurately answer your questions without guessing or having to ask what are the specifics of the vehicle you are referring to. You can add these details easily and permanently by creating a signature or adding your truck details to your existing signature.

5 minutes of your time doing this now will save a ton of time and effort later.

To anyone....
I need some help logging in. Please!

I'm not sure where to put this question. I just registered this morning through Facebook. Once in the forum, I chose to change my password. I did that and then logged out. When I tried to login again, it asked for a "username". I dont believe I was asked that when registering. But if it did, I didnt see it. Now I can't login using my new password, because I dont have a username.

Does anyone have any ideas on how or where I can do this, or where I can add a username?

Seeing as you ARE logged in on THIS account, I can just change you Username to whatever you wish if you would like to keep this access.

 

I had to log back in through Facebook. That's how I was able to get back on. Incidently, that's how I logged in now too. However, I wanted a new login....not using my facebook info. So I changed my password while I was still logged in (with facebook).

But when I changed my password, I don't remember it mentioning anything about using a "username", so I didnt enter one. Now when I login using my new password, it wont let me because I dont have a username for your system.

I did try my email address to see if that's what the forum was looking for, but its not. So if you can either point to where I'd add it while I'm in here under Facebook, that would be fine. Or, give me a temporary one, or I can give you something to enter. Though I don't know what it's looking for.

I also would like to change my username for privacy. Is there a self-serve way to do this?
