Another Utard
Hey guys, new to CF but not new to XJ's. Live in Utah and I'm on my 2nd XJ. First XJ was a '92 Laredo that I owned for about 8 months before stepping up and buying a '99 Sport brand new off the lot (eleven yrs ago this month actually). It's been a love affair from the very beginning. Current setup is;
- 4.0
- AW4
- NP231 with Tera 2Lo kit
- HP D30 front with 4:56's and ARB
- C8.25 rear with 4:56's and ARB
- 6" of lift
- 33" Goodyear MTR's (older non-kevlars) on black steelies
- Bushwacker flares
- Tomken rock rails
- Durango 4x4 rear bumper w/tire carrier
- K&N intake and cat-back exhaust
- plenty of Rocky Mountain pin-striping
Here's a shot of her maiden voyage to Moab for the break-in. She was only 2 months old on this trip. We ran Poison Spider, Kane Creek, and this shot was taken just after finishing Steel Bender;
Six months later she was sportin' a 3" RE lift and 31" all terrains. This shot was taken on Hole in the Rock Trail near Lake Powell;
The evolution continued and 2 yrs later she grew up to 6" and eventually morphed into what she is today;
On Moab Rim;
On Strike Ravine;
Coming down White Knuckle Hill on Behind the Rocks Trail;
Just wanted to say hi.

Thanks. Unfortunately it's no longer on the jeep though. Not sure what my schedule is like but I'll keep that in mind. It's not too far, I'm in Bountiful.

Thanks for the welcome.
Let's just say I've been offroading my whole life. My family made annual trips to Moab starting in the 60's before it was "cool" like it is today. We had a Volkswagen Westfalia that we used for a bit, then later we had an International Travelall, which was like a huge 2 door suburban, a Volkswagen buggy, and a Volkswagen Thing (my dad was a VW dealer). We ran Elephant Hill and out to the Needles District in Canyonlands Ntl Park in these stock vehicles, and I couldn't have asked for a better childhood experience.
Growing up and getting my first XJ just meant I was finally behind the wheel myself... well, legally anyway!

Welcome to CF man! I'm just up in Clearfield/Layton. Nice rig! You should deff try to go to the snakes run on the 28th. I think we've got about 8-9 rigs so far so it should be a good time!
