OSU didn't even deserve to be there.ANYWAYS... to answer BlueXJ's question, the 2.5 and 4.0 engines have the same bore diameter on the throttle intake valve, but Jeep decided to fit the 2.5 with a throttle body with a smaller bore diameter. 3-4mm, I believe. Alot of guys swap the stock 2.5 TB with one from a stock 4.0, and the concensus is that paired with a spacer it makes the little 4-banger run like it was meant to. It's a common mod on 2.5 Wranglers and Cherokees.

Welcome to the forum
Ya know, I'm starting to see a trend here. Three members from West Virginia, and all three of them have two door XJs. Coincidence? We may never know

to us.
Thanks! Sadly it doesn't look QUITE that clean at the moment. I boogered up my front end when I got in a fight with a Dodge Ram. Just waiting on a new header panel from a guy on my local forum and she'll be shining again. Plus I'm using this opportunity to get a new bumper.

Leaning toward this one:

Yeah, I'm not planning on buying a winch for a while, but I like having the option. I was going to go with this one:

... but then I figured, the Daystar one's streamlined to the facia like that but gives me the option of adding a winch later on. I've always liked the JCRoffroad pre-runner, but it's just too damn expensive.

Are tube bumpers illegal in WV, or just "frowned upon"? I'd like to get a solid bumper like a JCR, but the price is really what has me leaning toward a tube setup. That and the weight difference would be nice.

Remember the day of the big oil well tube bumper? I know those are illegal. But if you buy a aftermarket bumper, I'd say it would be fine. But I made mine so I thought it might be frowned on.

Haha, I remember when every FS 4x4 had big oil well tube bumpers. Seemed like that was the trend for a while, especially on K5s and Broncos back in the 80s/early 90s. I guess the problem with those was that they turned your 4x4 into a make-shift tank
But I figure a dinky little aftermarket tube bumper oughta be just fine with the Dub-V po-po
