Default after a decade of Fords..its a JEEP thing

bought my first Ford when i was 12, 15 years later and over a decade of only owning Ford...I bought a Jeep, and I LOVE IT! lots of power, solid axle, killer limited slip rear works like a champ, so far its been easy to work on too.
Its a 93 cherokee, 4.0l/aw4 190k km (118k miles) with the part time t-case (havent figured out what model it is, 2hi-4hi part time-4hi-N-4low) I put the Canyons(?) on it only has 215/65s on it (boo). I flushed the oil a couple times, did a complete flush on the trans and running new dex3/merc fluid and filter (1h 45 min in my driveway). Had to put a new CPS in her and a heater blower resistor pack. Needs some exhaust work also.
I lurked the site here to find answers to my problems so I decided to join. Ive developed a pretty wild knock in the bottom end tho, total downer because theres not a whiff of blow-by or valvetrain noise. Im running 10-30, i put some 20-50 in for a couple days during my flush to see if it would shut it up but no luck there. Looks like Im going to drop the pan when I get home, I used a hose as a stethoscope and traced the sound back to the rear main area. The sound stays when I disconnect #4 #5 or #6 plug. I pulled the inspection plate and tightened the loose flexplate bolts (only one was loose) but that didnt fix it either. Im confident its in the bottom end as it doesnt come untill a minute or so after i fire it up when cold, so once the oil thins out the knock starts.

Once I fix the knock its getting a BB (shackles, spacers maybe v8 zj coils, an AAL) aiming for 3" and some 31s....its a family wagon cant go big.
I needed a grill, headlight bezel and front bumper $(200 at wrecker here) so i cruised down to the neighbours house who had a xj in the back 40 and asked him if it was a project/parts, he told me 100 bux and its mine so I picked it up. My parts pile is an 86 laredo 2.5l/ax5(?) (4.10s?, havent found tag)
Well enough rambling, i attached some pictures...and added one of my other project, '87 gt t-top stang with 100k miles
Happy jeepin'!

Welcome.

Jeeps and Mustangs, nice combo. I've got an 80 Cobra tucked in the garage.
