Purchased my second Jeep this past weekend. I have been browsing the Internet for a XJ to use as my daily driver and hunting rig. My trail rig is a 83' CJ with a mild build.
I came across several that were in "OK" condition but the owners are very proud of them and had to pass.
I found this 96XJ with 230k miles, 4wd "Command Trac", 4.0, 30/8.25, Country edition. Inside was clean and all original, outside saw the Florida sun and could use a paint job down the road. For a XJ that has lived its life blocks from the beach I was surprised on how little rot I found. Just 2 spots on the passengers floor board about the size of a nickle.

Plans for tomorrow are to go thru the rig and change all fluids, brakes, and give it a good tune up. Just for my warm and fuzzy feeling inside. The tires have very little life left and when its time to buy new ones its going to be time for a "little" lift.
