94 Cherokee Sport 4.0L
Hey guys, my name's Brandon and i live in Akron, OH. Just moved up here from Murfreesboro, TN, actually. I've always had a bunch of friends in the off-road scene, and been into it myself, but never owned anything to play in. Just picked up my first jeep yesterday
It has the 4.0L and is a 5 speed 4x4. All functional. 180xxx but runs strong.
From what i can tell, these are the things that have been done:
- custom fab. rockers, floorboards, and back floor plating
- pro comp es3000 front shocks
- has a lift, just not sure how large or what kit (rear shackles and front spring spacers)
- 4 265/75/15 ameritrac generals
- i think the interior seats are from a different model because the runners don't line up
What it needs:
- trac-bar (just ordered double shear adjustable from IRO)
- temp gauge always reads the same temp...aka doesn't work
- stereo needs to have power ran to it
- dome light doesn't work
- IOD fuse is blown? not sure what that implies
As far as essentials go i think that's really it. Like i said, i'm new to the offroad scene, but have always enjoyed it and been interested. Really excited about the potential this jeep has and looking to have some fun in it while keeping it reliable at the same time.
I've been in the tuning scene for almost 6 years, and i do all my own work on my car, so i'm mechanically inclined to the extent of the tools that i own. Which is decently extensive. So, i'm also interested in doing all my own work to the jeep as much as possible.
Any input you guys have on this model/year would be great! I'm currently looking to fix all the small problems first then work on upgrades. My first upgrades though, i'm thinking removing the spring spacers and installing a 3" front spring lift and 1.5" wheels spacers. I want some beefier tires but unless i can find a good deal on a set of 4 that won't be happening right now.
