5 Speed ZJ guy
Decided to make the journey over here from jeepforum!
My goal for my ZJ is to turn it into a capable off-road vehicle that has as many rare ZJ parts on it as possible. I seem to attract rare ZJs because I've seen a lot of them and I think it would be cool to have a one of a kind ZJ.
I'm looking to be at about 4ish inches of lift on 31s, with a 8.8 rear and hp 30 eventually.
Right now I've got a BB with 31s (more like 29s) 373s, and a 4.0, and an ax15.

ZJ with a 5 speed, that is rare indeed. What engine? edited-thanks 4.0L, now I see.
Long arm kit, bushwacker flares and bigger 33" tires would be cool.

33s maybe, but those wouldn't come till after I have the axles out and swapped. Probably would run 33x10.5 over 12.5
Yes it's the 4.0, but it feels like a V8 now compared to when it had the auto lol

Did you swap the 5 speed into it?
So it was an auto originally?
Do you get a check engine light b/c there is no auto present/ because the ECU will be looking for an auto?
Or did you swap in a manual ecu?

I'm just gonna take the bulb out, doesn't bother me at all.
Still looking for the ZJ tire carrier, I saw one on CL on a jeep, but wasn't for parts. Then the cup holder insert, 2wd cubby tray, and maybe get some 5.9 parts like the grille, console, hood vents, door panels, etc. I'm trying to piece together all the rare ZJ parts and build something one of a kind

Zj did come with manual trans just very rare ecms prob the issue its not getting info from automatic trans. Is there two differe cps maybe ?
