Hey guys,

I'm about to pull the trigger on buying a 1989 Wagoneer Limited. It has 112K miles and is selling for $9,000. Is that a good deal?

Have any of you owned one? Is it basically the same thing as a Cherokee XJ? Any watch outs?

That is an XJ platform. Just a different trim level. At least from what I can see.
As to price... it's all subjective to the area. To me I'd say that's a bit high. Maybe the owner would be willing to negotiate with you a bit. But does "look" nice for it's age.
I'd check it over really well. Just my 2 cents.

 

Thanks for the info. He already dropped from 10,500 to 9,000, but I agree seems high and hoping to get him closer to 7,500.

Heading over there again today with an extra pair of eyes to see if we can pinpoint any potential issues. The thing looks mint, but you never know...
