Crank position sensor or coil.

Check for spark and injector pulse.

also the control module that your coil sits in, that thing give me fits one time had very similar behavior

this is what your exhaust valves will be doing to their seats unless you spend some serious moolah. Any THOL type fuel kills stock exhaust seats and valves. If you planning on spending that kind of money may I suggest a stroker. Fuel mileage for you should be around 20 hwy to 26 at best, in town 15 is normal. believe it or not jeeps have gotton this kind of fuel economy since about 1954 or so.
