Default 1988 black xj

Hi my name is Jacob and I'm in the market for a black 4x4 stick xj. I have been looking in the local recycler and craigslist. I recently found a clean. Xj with everything I want, clean title, one owner, stick,4x4, and with black exterior paint. There is one major concern.. it has and engine swap. The owner says it has 57k. Should I be really concerned? Is there anything in particular I should look for when I inspect the car?

Thank very much all your comments and advice are appricated!

If the engine swap was done right, then it should be fine. Check for rust and take it out for a test drive. Welcome by the way. Best cherokee forum on the WEB!

You could probably broaden your search, if you where not looking for a specific color. Man. trans are hard enough to find.

Welcome! If you're not sure what to look for I would take it to a mechanic and make sure the swap was done right. If it was, you should be set!
