Ten minute install, even in the rain. The struts pretty much lift the hood on their own after you unhook it. I'm very pleased! - askingxforxit

Any chance of you throwing in a couple of those cool stickers you make to sweeten the deal? :-)

Sorry, I have these priced low as I can go, plus I can barely keep them stocked as it is, so no freebies with this one.

Just curious: are the ball ends that the shocks mount to pretty reliable? I have come to hate my hatch struts because the ***** have worn down and the shocks would pop off.

Thanks! Might be very interested.

The Kencon brackets are beef. I don't see the ball ever wearing down one bit.

Are the retainer pins installed in the strut that hold it on the ball?
The ***** can be replaced too, they are threaded and use a torx bit.

On topic. These hood lifts are great, no more hot hands when opening hood and these are more secure than the prop rod.

So let me get this straight. This is a kit that mounts up, with decent directions, is an add on vs using the prop rod? And it holds open more? What sort of warranty?
I'm new to the jeep world, and definitely would love to make things easier for myself. I have a 1990 Cherokee. If this kit is what I'm thinking, I want to buy. Is there a similar kit for the rear hatch? When I bought my xj, it was missing the ones for the rear. So I would like to get them too. Thanks

Word of caution from a guy who had both do this: watch the welded nuts on the inside of the body that these thread into. They can break... which makes suck lol.

Correct but I don't manufacture these parts so there's no warranty. I've sold a fair number of kits w/o issue.

1991Jeep_Man, any suggestions on that issue?

Tony_SS, is there an updated auction to purchase this kit?

If I may, I just welded the ball-stud back onto the body. The key is to not overtighten the ball-studs and break the welded nut.
A nutsert might also work as a repair.
