Default MPG effects

On a 99 w/ air filter and exhaust, will the 849's give the same mpg at cruise as 784's?

Thanks

Dan

Hello. I've run the higher flowing injectors in my own XJ as a test and it did not seem to affect my highway MPG but in the city it seems to go down a bit.

What can I do with my 88xj as far as injectors go? I've already got a CAI and 2 1/2" exhaust with a magnaflow muffler and future plans of a Turbo. This is my trail rig that has Unimogs and 42" tractor tires. I've been all over this forum since i joined getting ideas to keep making my trail rig/ mud ride/ rock crawler better on the performance side beings ive already got bullet proof axles lol

Do you still have sets? And how hard is it to replace them?

Hello all. First off thanks for the many replies. I have been a bit busy lately and have not had much time for the complete cleaning/rebuilding I normally do for my injectors. (It takes a LOT of time) I do have a number of sets so if anyone is interested I can sell some for $50 shipped until I get some personal business out of the way but for that price they wouldn't not be the completely over-hauled ones I normally sell. But I will still soak them overnight in injector cleaner, test them electronically and put new o-rings on the top for you.

As far as how hard is it any average home mechanic can do it in 30-60 minutes easy with just a few common tools. (I've done it in 15 minutes if I rush LOL)

What's the correct set for an '89? Mine are leaking pretty badly I think. It's always flooded when I try to restart it.

Let me know when you have a set that's been overhauled completely... I'd do it myself, but I'd be afraid of breaking something, and like you time is not on my side. lol I'd rather give you the full price for a cleaned/tested set lol
