784 Upgrade fuel injectors
 

Well I guess I shall try an ad in the new For Sale section. I am selling sets of 6 cleaned tested and semi-rebuilt 784 "Neon" injectors. These are a direct swap out "upgrade" injector for 99-01 XJs. (I have 784s for 99-01s ONLY at the moment as any 703s I come upon are already spoken for)

Basically I clean off the outsides with a toothbrush and degreaser then take the injectors apart and let them soak a day or two in concentrated injector cleaner. I then reverse flush them out and then open them with voltage and visually check the spray pattern (Using compressed starting fluid). I then put them back together using new micro-filters and new o-rings on the tops and make sure there are perfect (But used) o-rings and pintle caps on the bottoms. Then I test them with an ohm meter to make sure they are within their correct range.

I am asking $70 a set shipped for the 784s. That is a bit more than some of the guys on here but I am sure even they would agree for all the extra cleaning, testing and parts they are worth it.

I also have a few sets of higher flowing injectors for you stroker guys or those wanting a bit more power (When combined with increased air flow) I am in central Maryland and will ship by Priority Mail. Any questions at all please send me a PM. I can accept PayPal or a money order by mail.

Thanks for the kind words. Don't forget to re-set your computer and make sure to lube the o-rings before installing. Pretty much every leak that happens when swapping injectors is due to one of the top o-rings getting torn or cut installing them. Check for leaks before you drive or run it long.

I tried sending you an email or message, but have no way of knowing if you received it. I need a set of six Neon 703 fuel injectors (your higher priced fully cleaned/refurbished ones.) It's for my 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 liter. A fellow Jeep owner (here in Lewistown, Montana) told me he bought a set from you and is very pleased. My Jeep is my only vehicle and it is sitting right now out of fear of wrecking something 'cause it's running so rough I can't trust it to not stall in town traffic. It seems I have gotten a rash of people contacting me in the past few weeks here or on my personal e-mail about injectors who either are not members of the forum or joined the same day they contacted me and once I give them all my info I never hear from them again. What's the difference between the 784s and 703s? Been wondering this for a while. Need some more power to get my heavy brick to get to 60 in less than 20 seconds.

The 784 and 703 are the same injector just with a different electrical connection. pre-99 us the 703s and 99+ are 784s. Usually those seeking "more power" go with the blue Ford 849s which flow at about 10% more per minute combined with some sort of increase in air flow.

How would I get the increase in air flow? Sorry for the beginner questions; I don't know jack about engines.

The most common easy ways are some sort of CAI (Cold Air Intake) or bored throttle body or throttle body spacer.

So if I just had a CAI, would the more powerful injectors actually be able to do what they're meant to do?

You would notice the difference with the 2 combined. I have both on my own XJ.

Would it be better to run ford or 784s with stock air intake and 62mm bored throttle body, with future plans of getting a cold air intake cowl setup? I know I've been PMing you but I thought I'd ask here so the thread appears at the top of my subscribed list again.

Anyone tried these on a ZJ? I have a fairly rough running 95 4.0 and wanted to replace the injectors anyway.

The XJ and ZJ take the same injectors so I would have to assume it would be the same results for each. As far as I know they both have the same 4.0 engine just with a few slight mods.

I'm interested in a set, do you still have some on hand (for 99 xj)?
