Thank you for the explanation. One more question: do you know what size ring connector is needed to connect the other wire to the starter (the one that's on the same stock connector as the B+ to starter)?

What I did on my jeeps, was to take a knife and cut it down in the middle to seperate both wires.

Alternative option would be crimping a 1/4" ring terminal on the solenoid wire.

That solenoid feed wire is the one, and 1/4" ring terminal is the measurement I was looking for. Hadn't thought of cutting that connector down the middle, may do that instead of crimping on a ring terminal. Many thanks!

yep I find that rather easy to do with sharp razor knife.

If the wire leading into the connector is brittle or damaged then crimping on a new ring terminal is probably better.

I'm looking for a set for my 99 xj sport. I have a amp that will be in the rear of the vehicle so I'm wondering how much extra that would be shipped to 80020

what size alternator are you running or plan to upgrade to? How many amps does your Amp draws?

The cables are fantastic! I made a thing to show my appreciation! The cables aren't in the exact locations but the labels are accurate enough to help. Excuse the linoleum floor, renting and can't bee too picky.
