Do these require a control box similar to the 10" light bar I got from you?

No the pods don't have any type of control box like the bars have.

These look awesome. Does anyone have any more pics showing how far and wide the light reaches with these lights? I've been looking for some bright, compact lights to use as area lighting, these look really great, but I almost wonder if they would be TOO bright for my use...

You have anything roughly equal size to OEM XJ/ZJ fog lights? I'd be interested in a decent set of lamps with a good cutoff.

If you are talking about using them inside then yeah these are going to be a little on the bright side...

any other use such as rock lights or anything outside the jeep they are great.

Basically I'm wanting something I can use for brighter back up lights, and I'd also have them wired to turn on/off with a toggle switch, mainly to use when setting up a campsite after dark (we camp a ton). I need something bright, but not so bright it would bother people in neighboring campsites, or blind anyone in the nearby vicinity when using them as back up lights.... I may just have to order a set and come to my own conclusion.

I'm pretty sure you'd be happy with the pods.
