Custom Maglite Mount!
PRICE DROP! NOW $17 shipped!
Custom made Jeep D-Cell Maglite holder:
cf1k1 and I have been developing and testing a unique Maglite holder that we think would be pretty useful for many of us. I've seen a few mods where people buy two of the simple Maglite clips and screw them right into a door panel / center console / etc. Cf1k1 gave me the idea to make a custom one that would be a little more aesthetically pleasing, and have a little Jeep pride built in.
This is what we've come up with so far. It holds a D-Cell Maglite very well, and could be mounted virtually anywhere in a Jeep (or your home) via the 4 mounting holes.
This is not quite ready for sale yet, but should be within a week or so. I estimate the price to be in the neighborhood of $20-$22 including shipping and 4 mounting screws. These are 3D printed and made of hard plastic. All D-cell maglites will clip right in (and out) with just the right amount of force. I've spent quite a bit of time clipping in, and then removing my Maglite to simulate lots of use. It is possible to break the clips, but I am convinced that breaks will not occur with normal and reasonable use. These will be available in green (seen here), black, white, and orange so far, with other colors available down the road.
The point of this posting was really to generate some feed back about the concept and design.
The comment has been made already to make the letters JEEP look more like Jeep's actual font, but unfortunately due to trademarks and copyright laws I really cant do that.
Also, what are your thoughts about it saying JEEP vs just the letters "XJ" or something to that effect?
Thanks for looking!
EDIT: These are now available and will be posted in the vendor section soon. Please PM me if in the meantime if you are interested

I'm glad everyone seems to like the idea! I'm on my fourth revision of the holder now (been tweaking dimensions and things) and I think it is finally ready! I'm mailing the first one to cf1k1 tomorrow for additional testing and install procedure, it was after all, his idea.
What do you guys think about color? What color would you be most interested in getting? Im trying to get a feel for which colors I should get the most of
