NV242J Transfer Case
For Sale $200.00
New Venture Gear model 242J Transfer Case, part number 25826, Chrysler part number 52098899.
Built 01/04/1999
Transfer Case was a unit from a 1999 XJ with 109,000miles. Removed covers and inspected internals of TC. Found everything okay. Chain looked new. Replaced input shaft seal, oil pump seal, oil pump tube O-ring, rear output shaft seal, slinger, mode select switch, Vehicle Speed Sensor and VSS sensor adaptor. Resealed with Permatex transmission fluid RTV. Used new cover attachment bolts. Serviced with B&M Trick Shift ATF.
Installed in my XJ at 133,836 miles. Removed at 136,191 miles for convenience (installed my original rebuilt TC).
Total time on this TC 111,355 miles
TC is corrosion free and Leak free. Aluminum surfaces preserved with L.C. Wax Alumaslick Aluminum Lubricant
TC is partially serviced with B&M Trick Shift. Recommend refill with the same but Trick Shift is compatible with any ATF.
Comes with TC Gear Shift Control Rod, Selector Lever, and serviceable VSS assembly and Mode Switch.
