Using a volvo volvo 2 speed relay, controlled by VW thermoswitch, installed in a Saab 900 cooling t-pipe. Wire is flat out simple. Relay is straight gound/postive, the the 2 signal wire the thermoswitch. Thermoswitch goes to ground. Fan goes to relay.

Volvo PN is pictured, relay is from any volvo 93-01 850, S70, V70, C70.
VW thermoswitch and pigtail is from 2.0L 99-04 Golf, Bettle, Jetta.
Screw brand loyality, when you want it to work right, you gotta turn it into a mutt. Its like having a 9 second F-body with a 10 bolt.. you just dont do that. You get a Ford rear end lol.
