2000 Jeep Cherokee Limited
Cut and Paste from my Craigslist ad, bottom line I have a lot of money into this, was supposed to be my sons but he isn't comfortable with it so I need to get him something smaller. I am looking for $4,250.00 OBO (I honestly have no idea what they are going for, reasonable offers considered and any advice or opinions on pricing would be appreciated (if I am off please tell me, I really want to get this sold so I can get him something else). I would also trade for a smaller car, something good for a new driver), located in Dyer, IN.
2000 Jeep Cherokee in very good condition with professionally installed lift kit and oversized tires.
Incredibly well maintained, I have a load of service receipts to give you including -
Oil Change / Front Brakes and Rotors 6/23/16 - $333.67
Throttle Position Sensor 2/18/15 - $124.12
Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly 2/10/14 - $197.20
Cylinder Head including Camshaft, Lifters, TStat, Timing Chain, Head Bolts (the typical issue with this model already fixed) 8/17/13 - $962.92 + $1,653.70
Oil Pump and Gasket 12/2/14 - $451.27
Rusty's XJ Cherokee 3" Advanced Kit 10/28/14 - $973.77
Lift Install (Alpha Auto in Crestwood, IL) 11/24/14 - $894.49 (I purchased lift kit, this is install only)
Headliner and Rear Glass 10/24/14 - $1,315.00
Muffler and Catalytic Converter 11/19/14 - $307.95
Iron Road Sway Bar 11/11/14 - $79.64
Tire Rack Rims and Tires 10/14/14 - $994.94 (these have less than 10,000 miles on them, I dont really drive this too much)
As you can see this Jeep has been very well maintained,in fact I have never been off-road with it at all. Fresh tires, brakes, everything in tip top shape, Jeep has been maintained by McInnis Auto in Schererville, IN. After I purchased it I addressed all little things that needed correcting, rear glass, headliner, everything to make sure it can be driven daily without issue.
This Jeep also has a high end custom stereo with Subwoofer box that absolutely rocks (installed by Car Teks in Schererville, IN, I paid approx $1,500.00).
I have removed the carpets and replaced with noise blocking pads and custom Weather Tech floor mats front and rear. Jeep has 176,000 miles and counting, I would drive it (and do) anywhere without worrying about it. Please call or text with questions. I am willing to discuss price but I am not going too crazy as this is about as nice an XJ as you are going to find, I had lift installed so I can say for a fact that it has never been off-roaded or beat up. This was intended to be for my 16 year old son but he is not comfortable driving it (too high up) and wants a smaller car instead.
There was some rust on the bottom door area and one front panel which I cleaned up and treated with POR 15 rust converter before painting with bed liner (it could use a fresh coat of bedliner at this point), hood has custom vents (painted to match the body) and is plasti dipped black (can be peeled off if you don't like).

Price drop to $5,000.00, I would love some feedback, is that expecting too much? I don't want to give it away but I do want to sell it, help??

Am I doing something wrong here? Lots of views but no one can give me any feedback? Any opinion is welcome, am I off on pricing? Where would I need to be to sell it?

I don't think you're far off on the price. The rust will be a huge turn off for most buyers. The cylinder head fix is very appealing. I would consider removing the black plastidip to make the car look more uniform. Include more pictures of various angles and more interior shots. Make sure everything is nice and clean. Good pictures go a long way.
Be patient with your selling. You might get $5K but it could take awhile. Do more research on what these go for

In the interest of selling I will try a huge price drop to $4,250.00 OBO.

Hey bud, don't take this the wrong way because I am just trying to help. Fixing the head problem was a good idea but for what you paid you could have gotten a mild stroker kit and rebuilt the motor. More pictures would be a big help to selling it especially since you mentioned a sound system inside, people want to see that kind of stuff. Take all the plasti dip off but leave the bedliner for sure. Don't say custom hood vents because you can find those hoodvents at just about any online jeep shop.
All that being said, it's a really clean XJ and I think that if you took off the plasti, took pictures of under the hood, dash with gauges on, and a few more interior and exterior pictures you should have no problem getting 4000. The fact that you have factory leather seats is a big plus. Good luck with selling it and I hope you get what you're asking.
