I have Zones 3" xj front coils and I'm happy with them. Not sure the spring rate of a zj coils but I've been happy with their products

Zone lifts aren't brought up much but I hear they're pretty good. There's a small percentage that has them, and they all love it for the most part

There are some of us that have not been happy with Zone kits. I wont say they are junk but their spring rate is way to high without bumpers/armor/winch etc IMO. Replacing my front 3" coils tomorrow with RE after two years. Looking forward to actual flex and a much tamer ride. Only Zone that will be left is the end links and they were bought months later after breaking a number of OEM ones. They arent in the kits. Quality might be better than RC.

I have zone and I absolutely hate their spring rates. The coils are rock hard and the leafs are so short my shackle angle is at a perfect 90° angle. Their shocks are awful and started leaking after a few months of street use. Nothing, other than the shocks, has broken but, I would definitely spend my hard earned cash somewhere else.

You get what you pay for. It's fine for what it costs is my point. I was going to go zone but I decided to go against it and did a full BDS kit instead. No regrets, money well spent.

The 3.5" Rubicon Express coils have one of the highest rates of 240 lbs. Generally, most 3" lift coils have a considerably higher rate than 4.5" and taller coils.

I believe there is some misinformation in that link. Stock XJ spring rate = 147 lbs.

^Agreed. I also run swayless and prefer a stiffer coil, but not 240 lbs.
I am looking at getting Currie 4" coils.

When I bought my Rustys 3" kit I bought the 180# coils because of the bumper I had and the weight of the winch going on it. It has been a pleasure to drive on/off road same for the full leaf's. The 240#'s seems a little on the heavy side to me even swayless I have disconnects I use off road and the 180's work fine even then.
The quality of the springs are very good and now after 2 yrs. it measured just about 1/8" off of the original measurements then. It could be caused by a lot of different things but 1/8" didn't worry me in the least.
When I went to 4 1/2" I used 1 1/2" Boomerang Shackles on the leafs and the flex I now have is excellent with them. The coils have spacers now and plan on buying new 4 1/2" coils, its a toss up on keeping the shackles or new leafs on which one will give me the most flex.

Pulled the 3" zone coils and 1" spacer and replaced with RE 4.5". It sits almost exactly the same height but the ride.... It is significantly improved. The harshness over sharp bumps has been tamed. I am quite pleased with the swap.
Zone is fine as a brand as most are. Figure out what is needed for "your" application and choose accordingly. I wish theyd stop selling kits and instead offer guidelines for selecting parts. Its so easy to say oh its a kit they must have matched everything up perfectly. When in reality its a one size fits all package that will be poorly matched one way or the other.
