Yj roll bar mod for xj
Hey guys. Just cut off a roll bar from a yj wrangler today. Paid 25 bucks for it and its mint. Gonna modify it to fit inside my 99 xj sport behind my drivers and passengers seat. Ill post pics when I start the build tomorrow

Been wanting to try this my self was gonna mount right behind drivers seat the modify back to extend to fender wells being 2dr wnt need to worry about rear door blockage . What way you going ?

No flaming please. Kinda interested in seeing this. Now was it a Yj style or later style roll bar? Either way make sure to use good plate to attach it to the floor.

Might keep roof from collapseing down completely in case rollover happens

Im using a roll bar from a police partition for the xj. 1/4"x1.5"OD. Its welded to a plate and bolted down. Perfect fit too! I'll be watching this. What kind of thickness is the bar as im not familiar with yj's...

Damn ya'll, it's better than nothing.
Seems like if Billy Bob didn't do 15 years ago & everyone said "good mod",it's a stupid idea & a waste of time,money,beer,..............
He hasn't even put it in 1/2 azz yet.Cut him some slack.Untill then, shut up,sit down & enjoy the show.
