xj,tj,dodge neon clockspring?
my horn,airbag light and cruise control is all out of whack which more than likely means i am in need of a new clock spring i have a '99 xj limited but and as many of us know the price is killin me... i've been web surfing and came on this guy that has a tj and used a dodge neon clock spring and says it basicly the same just a boatload cheaper any done this to their xj???

Yes, I did. You need to splice the XJ cruise control connectors to the Neon clock spring. That's it.
I did a write up but it was rejected due to safety issues. I installed mine about a year ago & all is well. Cruise & horn work as they should.
The donor is a '95-'98 Neon. Maybe others.

what safety issues? if i understood the other guys write up? it they are all the same!!! the only diffrence in the neons clocksprings the horn electircal connector there is a tab instead of a notch or something like that... either way its the horn,thats not excatly a life or death kinda thing and i can live with it especialy with the comparision in the prices as long as it works?!?!?!

I assume the safety issue is based on the fact that you are modifying a component that directly affects the airbag operation. Other than that there is no other possible issue here and as long as you arent a dumb ***, you wont butcher the wires up in a way to mess with the airbag.

i just picked up this bad boy for 40.00...its from a '97 neon,the part numbers are diffrent then from the link i posted i hope it works
