Default XJ "pitching"

3" Rustys lift, 33-12.5-15 tires. When im on uneven roads the Jeep "pitches" back and forth. It doesnt steer back and forth or have body roll, it just sorta jostles or pitches (best I can describe it sorry). Thinking maybe a shock problem but they are new. Any thoughts as to a cause?

Well wider tires will have more road surface contact this causing the tire to grab more deformities and such in the road, lower control arms being to short can play a factor in wandering on the road, loose front end parts like the track bar will do it. Shocks maybe but 3" lift isn't like it's overly top heavy

Bushings and tre's are tight, maybe its just the tires, but its super annoying

It's a lifted Jeep not a Cadillac. You will feel the road and every little imperfections they have.

Most likely crappy shocks. For the few weeks I drove with my lift and 33s on stock shocks it did that, with a set of Bilstein 5100s it drives so much better. If it bothers you that much with good shocks even, run a sway bar.

No crap, tho of the 5 lifted jeeps ive had this does it the worst. Anyway, im going to plan on some good shocks and go from there; probably take care of it.
