Hi Everyone,
I found out there is a company selling custom Orvis Replica Spoilers for the 1997-2001 XJ.

For anyone who ever wanted to add a custom spoiler to their XJ, this is your chance. I left a link to the product below:

There is a guy on eBay doing roof spoilers too. I ordered one and have it in my garage but I haven't tried to fit it yet. It's a little different then the orvis one. It's a similar concept to the roof soiler on the new grand cherokee's.

which is a total ****-off for anyone who went to the trouble of shipping an original Orvis spoiler over from Europe.

You actually own this? Found this a long time ago and have been considering it. Since the Jeep is going in to fix some paint issues now is the time to do it. What do you think about it? Did you use the adhesive or bolt it on? Any other insight would be great.

It's attached with 3M VHB (Very High Bond) double sided tape.

Could you take some close-ups? Usually aftermarket repops need work to look good.

I am getting closer to my '00 going in for the paint work. I talked to my body man about the spoiler. Showed him the link and he said no problem at his end. He said screw the double sided tape. We would use the optional mounting method they talk about at the website. Was hoping for more indepth reviews myself. Thinking I am just going to have to pull the trigger on this and hope for the best. Anybody out there have any more detailed insight about this?

Hmmmmmm...that would be a very convenient place to put a back up camera that shows everything behind the jeep.

Kinda of forgot about this thread. I did pull the trigger on this. Had my guy use the double sided tape for the install instead of securing it with the optional method. Just didn't like the idea of committing myself by having holes drilled. On thing I did do for the install was go get another rear brake light. A very short harness is attached to the bigger rear hatch harness for the third eye. I had him use that harness to wire in the light on the spoiler. Again commitment issues. Love the look. Of course at the time $150 with free shipping helped make the decision.
