Cool Xj engine swap,, 94 longblock into 91 xj

HI Forum members

First post here,, need some technical advice,,

I need to know if the 94 to a 91 xj swap is going to be a nightmare
or reasonably no big deal,

Engine management system and electrical connections being the
major hurdle. reviewing the schematics and sensor configuration
it is basically a downgrade from the 94,
some of the pigtails to the sensors will have to be sorted out,
but that is not a deal breaker.

Has anyone done this and if so, is this basicaly a routine plug in
the proper connections, to the PCM and its a go , or

Do the individual sensors need to be OEM for the 91 only," My first guess"

Any direction here will be appreciated,, essentially save me from myself
in making a bad decision to get a nice old XJ back in service.

THanks,

You might as well swap the whole harness into the 91 from the 94.

Think of it as a longblock swap. Use your intake, exhaust, dizzy, sensors etc. Easy.
