Default XJ D44 swap Questions

First off my jeep is a 96 4.0 ax-15 np231. I am swapping in the 44 in place of the 8.25

I bought a used Xj d44 rear end with 4.56 gears and a lockrite locker...It has Disk brakes swapped on also. I think the brakes are off an 8.8...I will add pics later on tonight.. i have a few questions about swapping this into my 96.

My first question is simple. What kind of diff fluid do i use? I have never owned a vehicle with a locker and different gears

Second is how do i connect my E brake cables too the factory bracket? Do i have to make a custom bracket? I will have pictures of the disk brake set up and the cables, which are aftermarket and really nice looking

And last is how do i connect the breather hose and the loose brake hoses too the hard lines on the unibody end if i could get pictures it would be amazing!!!

i have the same axle behind mine ( that i swapped from an 87 ), and i am also running a lockrite. as for fluid when i installed the locker i didn't even bother to swap fluids, just run the same 75w-140, I have put thousands of miles on the axle + locker without issues.

make sure you have the same gears as your front end, if you choose not to buy front gears to match - do not put your vehicle in 4x4, you'll break stuff. your diff gears can be off by a little I have a d30 front with 3.55 and d44 rear with 3.54, no i'll effect from .01 difference.

I have crown vic discs for my xj 44, not yet installed but for the e-brake tabs I have seen them welded onto the e-brake tabs. just ensure you weld it so you'll be able to tighten up the e-brake enough to stop the vehicle ( and have plenty of slack for future use )

and get used to people constantly asking you "why is your jeep clicking everytime you turn?"

and get used to riding your clutch through EVERY turn, if you don't you'll either have to be gunning it around corners to spin the tires, or it will feel like a damned roller-coaster going up that first climb.
