I had the parts store order a power steering pump for a 99 wj v8 to swap out for my stock xj pump. After getting it home and working for a couple hours I noticed they order a pump for the v6. The reservoir does not have the extra return the v8 has to power the hydrolic fan. Now I am hesitant to go through the hassle of returning this pump and waiting for the v8 pump. Does anyone know if there would be any problems just using this pump? It seems to be the same size fittings as the stock xj. I thought they might be the exact same but the part number seems to be specifically for the v6 wj. Can I use this? Is it worth the trouble and wait to get the v8 pump? Thanks for any input.

If your running big tires then I would get the actual v8 pump/reservoir coming. Also add a power steering cooler into the return line setup. If your not on big tires and it's working fine then like stated above - run it
