Um, BUy the JCR ones with lightbox, minus the rail, and have someone local fab up the rail to your liking?

To late i bought the ARES armor. It shipped out yesterday but they charged $75 for putting the rails on there and another $50 for the two step rails. I asked around if any shops around here would bend the tubing and weld it on for $125 and everyone i asked acted like double that would be cheap for custom work. I would have liked to have the light layout that jcr has but the tubing is bigger and the metal is slightly heavier with Ares.Originally Posted by Metmknice

Also ARES was great to deal with i was on the phone with them for 20-25 mins while they tried to get me exactly what i wanted no one else would do anything custom so for now mine are one of kind.

What did you use to put between the armor and the body. I guess it was James that i talked to at Ares, but he said they always use plasti-dip rubber coating and spray it on body and armor. I was thinking rubber or vinyl but that way might have a better fit.

nothing, tbh.. painted the armor and slapped it on. it will be coming off here soon so I can do a little bodywork and paint, then I will be reinstalling it and sealing it to the body with silicone around the perimeter. once the edges are sealed, it's getting bedlinedOriginally Posted by DirtyMoXJ

I wanted to ask how you did your tail light. I've wired plenty of trailers, but I'm not sure about tying into tail lights. I'm not sure if I need a converter or if I can just tie in. I have 4 prong for trailer lights already but I'd have to tie in reverse separate. I figured I'd reach out any help would be appreciated.
