They look good, almost like they were supposed to be on there.

Never seen this mod before. I bet you have a whole lot more vision than the stockers.

I wonder if there is a fairly easy way to mount them on the fender so you could go doorless too and still have great vision....?

I'd say extremely easy, use bolts or self tappers. The fender has almost nothing behind it. I'd use 1/4 20 bolts and put a 1/8 or 3/16 plate on the inside and out so you don't rip the bolts through the sheet metal fender the first time it catches a tree.

I was moreso referring to the location, I just wasn't sure on how well the a-pillar would agree with you trying to see them lol, of course I'd plate the inside if I were to do it, but I've got a homemade mirror that sits in the hinge

I think the mirrors in the hinge are a better option, you can't mess them up,
And you don't have to get out to adjust them like you would I'd they were on the fender.

I paid $10 for a plastic mirror from my local parts store. Easy mounts folds flat against my fender when not is use and if needed can buy new mirror inserts.
I've even hit the trails with it slid against a clay wall and it survived.

Ive been looking in to doing this. What year did you grab them off of? Were they a straight swap or did you need to mod?
