Default Would these tires rub much?

I have a 97 cherokee stock. I plan on doing a 2" budget boost in the next month or so and a 3" lift in the next year. I have a set of 31 km2's. Found a guy on craigslist wanting to trade a set of BFG AT'S 31'S WITH AROUND 60% tread for factory wheels and tires. Would those rub too much with no lift? It would just be until i was able to do the 2" lift.

Yes, they would rub much!

They would probably rub with a 2" lift!

It all depends on your fenders. If they are stock, 31's are gonna do a lot more than rub. If your trimmed then you will be fine. I ran 31's with no lift for a while with no problems. All I did was add a little more bump stop and it was fine.

Bump stops! I ran 30s on my last XJ with no lift and stock fender flares. Yes it rubbed off road but not with everyday driving.

Bump stops work wonders.

My dad's shop truck is a 97 stock with the standard cut and fold on 31's no rubbing. Even before we replaced the leafs.

It all depends whether you want to run it on or off road as to how much it will rub. With bump stops it will stop most of it but you will lose flex off road.
