won't start in drive

won't start in drive
I just went to start my 96 sport w the 4.0 and it won't start unless I put it in neutral ne one no how to bypass

Ya sorry kinda left that half assed I believe its the neutral safety switch it won't start in park but will fire right up in neutral. And yes I no not the safest route to take bypassing it but its a trail only rig
