Wiring question
Suppose you need to NOT have your break lights turn on when you press the brakes. Used off road only and absolutely no illegal activity such as trespassing. This would go for the reverse light as well; turn signals excluded.
What wires need the switch added to them, what gauge wire needed for the switch placement and what strength switch. 55A?
Again, NOT FOR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY.

Easy! the brake switch is on the pedal arm itself. If you have cruise control there will be two switches. I dont know the colors off hand. Unplug one and test the brakes.
Once you are sure you have the brake switch. Cut one of the wires. (Does not matter which) and wire it to your switch between the cut sections.
Backup lights are a bit more work as the switch is on the transmission. What you need is a Service manual with schematics.
