Wiring Dome Light/Rear Speaker Bar in early XJ
I have a '94 Sport with a headliner from a 99 Classic. It has a different dome light than mine did and the rear speaker bar with hatch light. My Jeep is obviously not wired to accept either the dome light (I'm told it will catch on fire if I plug it in) or the speakers. The speakers are easy enough to figure out alone, but is there a way I can use the stock harness that powers the light and speakers? Maybe by finding a harness from a later jeep and ripping it out for my own use? Has anyone encountered this before? Thanks

What i did was tap off the speaker wires with the hatch ones. As for the light i tapped off a hot lead and and stole a ground from and harness.
At first had problems with the rear lights acting up but realized that i had stole the brake light ground, so rewired it and no problems so far. But its only used if i need the rear cargo light.
