Winch size

I'm looking to put a winch on my ride, and was wondering what size most feel is adequate? The Smittybuilt 9500lb is on sale for under 3 bills right now...

9500lb is the minimum imo...i think thats whats on mine. Hardly get to use it haha

I ended up going with that one. Of course the next day ebay has a 15% off promo. Oh well, it'll be here Wednesday.

9.5K is a good size for an XJ. It should be rated at double the weight of the rig

I have a 9500 synthetic rope wireless and it works perfect. Tried to dump my boat in the lake last weekend on my brothers yard with no ramp but trailer sunk DEEP in muck and I had to winch the Jeep and boat trailer with the boat on it. No issues at all
