Will a 4.5" lift Rough Country suspension kit fit 33x12.5's?
I'm looking at parts for my '96 xj and I need to know if the Rough Country 4.5" lift kit (RC-623N2 on Morris 4x4) will give me room to fit 33 x 12.50 inch tires? If not, what's the max tire size I can fit? Thanks

33's will fit easily with a 4.5" lift. You can easily fit 33's on a 3" lift if you wanted to.
However, I'd be looking at other lifts, I wasn't impressed with the 4.5" RC on my MJ, and ended up scrapping most of that kit.

I have a 3" Rustys lift with 33x12:50x15's on my XJ did have to do a little trimming but not all that much.
My son gave me a new RC 4 1/2" lift still in the box even after I told him that I didn't need it. After some thought I did take and have ended up ordering a long arm upgrade kit for it and an extra $500 for some good shocks. I'm not one to beat things to death on the trail at 66 yrs I tend to think things out before going headlong into something. I hate walking so take care of the equipment and don't exceed its capacity like for these RC lifts.
As with all things you get what pay for "USUALLY" do your homework!

just like what was said above. it really depends on how you wheel off road. im on a rc long arm 4.5 lift on general grabber 33x12.5r15 with rims with 3.75 offset because with stock wheels it will rub all the time but with 3.75 offset it was better but i still had to trim the front and back to clear the wheels when im articulating up a rock.

so if you can keep your tire out of the fender well then you can run larger tires.
there is no one correct answer the best thing to do is to find another build like you want to copy it.

I have RE 4.5 super flex and I'm only running 32's and had to trim a lot of fender because of flex, now I rub on the inner fender and if I had room for more up travel the loft would do it. So to answer your question as the others already have, 33's will work bit if wheeling you may limit yourself.
