Default Wider rims

Looking for oem rims from boneyard that are wider than my stock cherokee rims with the correct offset and bolt pattern. Even if they are not jeep rims...hoping to save a buck. Looking to mount 31 10.5 and the stockers will crown badly I heard.

Hoping to retain the stock look..I just read grand cherokee rims are 7 in and mine are 6 with same bolt pattern and offset. Will this do the trick with a 4 in lift without body trimming?

I don't know of any stock Jeep wheels that are 6" wide. All that I know of are either 7 or 8" wide and will fit a 10.5 tire no problem.

http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/hot-r...odels=CHEROKEE This site indicates the stock cherokee rims are 6 in....and that the grands are 7...the question is will the 7 in rim with the same offset as original fit in the wheel wells and not crown the 31 x 10.5 tires

here's 30x9.5s on ZJ canyon wheels. i have 1.25 spacers behind the wheels.
the passenger side wheel was rubbing on the tie rod end, spacers fixed that.

skinny wheels with wide tires works great, makes them work somewhat like a beadlock

[QUOTE=gfds.uiop;847268]If you're doing this to offroad your jeep, I wouldn't go wider than 8" rims, even with your 12.5" tires.
really, that will not mess up your contact patch. I can see the semi bead lock angle but if I was to run (off road only no sand btw) 23 or 24 lbs would I still see the maximum contact patch and no instability from tire roll. My iron see NO pavement and runs in a dry climate (little mud) wet rocks a little but mainly steep climes and descents and some rock climbing.

You will be fine running a 10.50 wide tire on a stock rim. It will work on a 6 or 7 inch wide wheel. Running a 10.50 wide tire on a 6 inch wide rim is no different than running a 12.50 inch wide tire on an eight inch wide rim. As for contact patch mount the tires and mark tread with paint roll on flat area and see if the contact patch is the way you want it. Adjust the air pressure to get patch you want.

Thanks for the info folks...I think I will go with the grand cherokee wheels as the wheels on my jeep are toast and it will look good with new ones...will I need to use spacers to prevent tire rub (4 inch lift in a week) or do you just adjust the steering limiters for that?
