Just got a 22 inch light bar I think I am going to mount it on the front bumper over where my license plate is and just zip tie my plate to the grill. I did notice that I can mount the brackets a little above so I don't have to move my plate but I'm not sure if I like that. Any ideas?

Oh also for the wiring harness all I have to do is connect it to the light bar but the harness has quick connect (?) ends and the light bar just has bare wires. Do I simply slide the wires in ?

yes just put the wires together .. However make sure it's wired correctly, the switch can handle it, and you have a relay in the system.

Go get two little spade connectors and crimp them on and then slide them together. That's the right way instead of just jamming the wires in.

I found some flat pieces idk if that what spades are ? But they crimp onto the end and slide in. I got it all working now but I ended up mounting it to the plastic under the bumper instead of the bumper. I couldn't drill through the bumper maybe I'll change it later when I can get someone to drill holes for me because I don't trust the plastic too much.

The one on the bottom is what you needed. Re mount the bar to the bumper before it falls off and you run it over...

I used self taping screws on my front bumper and it was like cutting cake,super easy.

I thought that was woman hands but maybe im wrong .

Lol I'm a Woman I can have long fingernails even if they get broke when I'm working on my jeep. I don't know I tried to drill into the bumper and I couldn't after a certain amount of time it just started squeaking and not drilling anymore maybe I'm just not strong enough to push the drill in I don't know I'm gonna try again. Would self tapping screws go in easier than the drillbit?

How do you "still" a hole exactly? Seems a bit harsh telling someone not to learn a new skill or enjoy their jeep just because they don't have the same mechanical knowledge as you would prefer... sorry, I hate for someone to get discouraged when trying something new and give up.

OP, try a new bit (or drill a pilot hole with a smaller one first), or go with self tapping screws. Not necessarily the preferred method, but if you're like most people, you'll get the Jeep bug and upgrade everything including the bumper soon enough.
